First of all, let us introduce you to our founders and creators, Andrew Firth and Hayden Preshaw. This duo have been friends since childhood, with over 20 years experience running successful groundwork and construction enterprises including our sister business The Yorkshire Resin Company.

There’s not much about each other they don’t know, but more importantly, between them there’s not much they don’t know about quality installations of all types of groundwork!

From basic gravel drives, to concrete, tarmac and right through to resin, the pair are well known and respected for their high level of service and commitment to quality in their industry.

How We Started

Buildadrive.com was created due to the founders recognising that clients prefer a relaxed, no-pressure approach, and are always grateful when the time is taken to go through all the options and pricing.

There was simply not enough hours in the day to supply the demand for information and estimates.

This duo strive for perfection in all aspects of their business and sought to create a system where clients, in their own time, with no added pressure, can browse inspiration, get their measurements and instantly get an estimate online.

And so Buildadrive.com was born. This website allows all clients the opportunity to select which surface they would like, enter the area size in sq.m and get an accurate estimate for the works.

No hard sell, no salesmen and no nonsense. You don’t even need to give us your contact details until you’re ready to talk. We provide honest sound advice and we only contact you upon your request.

Every product and surface we provide is laid in accordance with the manufacturer’s specification or recommendations for that specific surface/product or system.

Using a wealth of knowledge and working with leading and reputable manufacturers and suppliers, we have created a brief, to the point product/system descriptions and diagrams, along with current specification for our clients to view and educate themselves at their own leisure.

Once an area size has been established and a finished surface chosen, clients can get an online estimate instantly. If it’s above budget you can go back and shrink the area size or swap surface type, until you get where you want to be. You really can, in your own time, create a surface to suit almost any budget.

When getting an estimate online we always say “don’t worry about the exact measurements and precise detail and finish!” The online estimate is just that –  an estimate – it’s purely to get you in the right ballpark and on the right page for your chosen surface or budget. That said, we do strive to ensure the provided estimate is correct for the details you enter, so a formal quote will only change based on a more accurate measure, and any additions you might choose.
